SYKTYVKAR, on June 29, Head of Department of Educational Programs of Russian Anti-Doping Agency RUSADA, Margarita Pakhnotskaya visited the city of Syktyvkar where she spoke at the meeting of the Board of Ministry of Physical Culture and Sport of Komi Republic, she gave a presentation "Peculiarities of Implementing Educational Anti-Doping Programs in the Russian Federation".
The presentation was developed as a material of strategic nature for highlighting the points which are currently required to be implemented in anti-doping education in all the regions of the Russian Federation.
Margarita Pakhnotskaya pointed out that Russia is a signatory party of two international conventions: The Anti-Doping Convention and UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport. The Convention scope is limiting accessibility of doping; collaboration with sport organizations; educational activities and international cooperation.
Within the official program of her visit, Margarita Pakhnotskaya met with Minister of Physical Culture and Sport of Komi Republic Nikolai Berezhnoi and with the coaches of the swimming team of Komi Republic when she visited Republic’s sport school Orbita. Also, margarita Pakhnotskaya visited State Autonomous Institution of Komi Republic “Center of Sport Preparation of National Teams”. At the meeting with the coaches and athletes of Komi Republic, Margarita Pakhnotskaya told about the anti-doping rules, the rights and responsibilities of the athletes.
In Komi Republic, active work is in progress on implementing anti-doping educational programs.
