Quotes from the welcoming speeches of the honorary guests of the RUSADA Conference:
Baysultanov O.Kh., Deputy Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation: "One of the priorities of state policy in the field of physical culture and sport is a healthy and successful athlete. The issue of the negative impact of doping drug use on athletes' health requires constant attention from all stakeholders. The Ministry of Sports of Russia, as a regulator of anti-doping policy, carries out extensive work in this direction. We give an important role in this work to cooperation with the regions and sports federations. The Interdepartmental Working Group on anti-doping was established under the Ministry of Sports of Russia. Despite the current situation concerning the restriction of Russian athletes' participation in international competitions, we must maintain the focus on Russia's commitment to clean, equal sports competition, free of doping, as a basis for keeping athletes healthy".
Plitukhin R.G., Deputy Director General, Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Olympic Committee: "Over the past few years in the Russian Federation significant work has been done to build an effective and modern anti-doping system... It is known that the basis of high-performance sport is enormous loads and hard work, often on the verge of human capabilities. But the desire to win at all costs cannot and should not devalue such an asset, such a value as the health of the athlete, it is the priority in sporting activities and should remain so.
