On February 6, representatives of RUSADA, the Government of the Tambov Region, and the Ministries of Sports and Health of the Tambov Region held a working meeting in Tambov.
The following participated in the discussion of joint plans for the implementation of the 2024 anti-doping strategy:
- Maxim Egorov, Governor of the Tambov Region;
- Evgeny Zimenko, Deputy Governor of the Tambov Region;
- Pavel Gritskov, Minister of Sports of the Tambov Region;
- Alexey Ovchinnikov, Acting Minister of Health of the Tambov Region;
- Alexey Koryavin, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Tambov Region;
- Veronika Loginova, Director General of RUSADA;
- Galina Kovrova, Head of PR and External Cooperations of RUSADA
At the meeting, agreements on cooperation were reached, which will unite the efforts of representatives from sports, healthcare, education, and law enforcement agencies. Specifically, in May 2024, an information and educational event is planned in Tambov to strengthen interagency cooperation in preventing anti-doping violations in sports.
Veronika Loginova, shared her plans: "Holding a major anti-doping event in Tambov is a joint initiative between the government of Tambov Oblast and RUSADA. We hope that this event will reinforce the values of clean sports not only in the region but also throughout the country. This unique event provides an opportunity for professionals from various fields involved in athlete training to collaborate and strengthen the anti-doping agenda in Russia. Together, we create an environment where fair sporting achievements are prioritized."
