On September, 30 was held an anti-doping seminar for athletes and coaches of the youth Olympic team, who participate in the III Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the Novogorsk training base.
Participants were greeted by Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee Anastasia Davydova and RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya.
Educational workshops were conducted by head of therapeutic use department Pavel Horkin and specialists of RUSADA educational programs department Kucheeva Kristina, Khristenko Evgeny and Peteraitis Maxim.
The seminar focused on sports values, health threats of doping, basic rules that any athlete must adhere to throughout his career, doping control procedures, therapeutic use of prohibited substances and methods, anti-doping rules of the Youth Olympic Games and a course for the athletes’ personnel, coaches, doctors, parents.
At the end of the event all participants got a set of educational materials and souvenirs from the Russian Anti-doping agency.
