Kislovodsk Hosts RUSADA Seminar for Regional Coordinators

On September 30, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) launched a three-day scientific and methodological seminar in Kislovodsk for officials responsible for anti-doping support across the Russian Federation’s regions. The event brings together 32 anti-doping coordinators from 26 regions, along with invited coaches, athletes, representatives of sports organizations, and regional sports federations.

The seminar was welcomed by Ivan Nifontov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Stavropol Krai and Minister of Physical Culture and Sports:
"Our athletes must be honest and healthy, achieving high sporting results without any anti-doping rule violations. This seminar is especially important for the younger generation."
Greetings were also delivered by Yevgeny Moiseyev, Mayor of Kislovodsk, and Murat Tsekapiybzov, Director of the Kislovodsk Sports Training Center.

During the first day’s intensive agenda, participants discussed key topics including current challenges in regional anti-doping activities, staffing issues, and interagency cooperation as a tool for preventing violations. Special focus was given to the regional anti-doping performance rating for 2025–2027 and the pilot project—an innovative initiative to develop a regional model for anti-doping support in sports schools.

"I will keep saying it: education is the cornerstone of the fight against doping," emphasized Veronika Loginova, Director General of RUSADA. "Analyzing data from this year and last year, we see fewer violations caused by lack of knowledge, negligence, or carelessness. Despite maintaining high testing volumes, we are not seeing an increase in violations—which means both you and we are doing our jobs well."

RUSADA’s scientific and methodological seminars serve not only as platforms for experience sharing but also as vital steps toward strengthening a unified anti-doping culture across the country. RUSADA remains committed to supporting regions in building a transparent, effective, and proactive anti-doping system.
