On November 19-20, 2019 in Kaliningrad, the Russian anti-doping agency RUSADA with the support of Kaliningrad Sports Training Center and the Ministry of Sports of the Kaliningrad region held educational seminars on anti-doping rule violations, responsibility of athletes and athlete’s personnel for such violations, as well as on prevention of doping in sports.
Particular attention was paid to the organization of anti-doping activities in organizations involved in the preparation of sports reserves in the region, as well as to interaction with RUSADA and officials responsible for anti-doping support in the Kaliningrad region. Ekaterina Sizikova, Deputy Head of RUSADA educational programs department, and Valeriya Konova, chief specialist of the department, highlighted the stages of anti-doping preventive measures implementation.
Pavel Khorkin, Head of RUSADA TUE department, addressed the presentation on the Prohibited List and Therapeutic use exemptions.
Seminars for athletes and coaches were devoted to types of anti-doping rules violations and responsibility, as well as to the analysis of practical cases that can be faced throughout doping control process.
