The study of socio-behavioral aspects and the introduction of modern methods for doping prevention in sports are priority areas for RUSADA's educational activities. Sports psychology is a relative young but essential science that aims to provide psychological support for athletes, helping them cope with stress and focus on victory. The findings of sports psychology are crucial for understanding risk factors and developing effective anti-doping measures.
RUSADA has signed an agreement with the Association of Sports Psychologists. Under this partnership, it plans to develop and deliver a series of workshops, training sessions, and lectures aimed at promoting the mental well-being of athletes.
One of the pilot events is a master class on "Psychological Tools for Monitoring the Condition of Young Athletes", which will take place on April 11th as part of the All-Russian Forum "Win Fairly! Anti-Doping in Youth Sports" in Tambov.
The President of the Association of Sports Psychologists of Russia, Lira Ulyaeva, has shared her plans for the upcoming Forum: "The involvement of sports psychologists from our association will be as practical as possible, offering means and techniques for psychological support for young athletes in various situations, including during doping controls. For the participants of the Forum, we will provide a unique opportunity to undergo quick diagnostics using the innovative Prognosis software and hardware complex, which allows us to determine a person's psychophysiological characteristics, including their resistance to stress factors. Anti-doping culture is an integral part of psychological culture in sports, and helping athletes achieve success in a fair and safe manner is the goal of sports psychologists."
