On September 28, 2018 Russian Anti-doping Agency “RUSADA” and Russian International Olympic University with the support of Russian Federation Ministry of Sports, Russian Olympic Committee and Russian Paralympic Committee held an International scientifically-practical conference “Future of clean sport: current issues, challenges and solutions”.
The conference was attended by Russian and foreign sports and anti-doping experts, who discussed urgent issues of anti-doping policy, education and anti-doping support science.
Reports were presented by RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya, IAAF AIU Head of Investigations Consultant Peter Nicholson, Netherlands Anti-doping Authority Chief Executive Officer Herman Ram, Senior Project Manager Anti-Doping Convention Sports Conventions Division Council of Europe Liene Kozlovska, WADA appointed international expert in RUSADA Ieva Lukosiute-Stanikuniene, Member of the IOC Medical and Scientific Commission Yannis Pitsiladis and many others.
iNADO Chairman Doug MacQuarrie made a video greeting to the participants and thanked RUSADA for organizing event of high importance for the global sports community.
At the end of the second session “Education and science in the field of antidoping security” was presented “Doping's Nemesis“ by Arne Ljungqvist, edited in Russian with support of RUSADA. The book describes professional and personal experience of professor Arne Ljungqvist, who devoted his life to medicine, sport and fight against doping.
