The team of the Department of Investigations of Anti-Doping Rules Violations, together with two Doping Control officers traveled to the town of Karakol in Issyk-Kul region of The Kyrgyz Republic to conduct an investigation on the information concerning potential anti-doping rules violation by the athlete's staff of the Russian national race walking team.
In the course of activities undertaken, the fact was established of direct participation of lifetime disqualified coach Chegin V.M. in the training activities at the stadium of Karakol, where the athletes of the Russian national race walking team were participating.
On April 25, 2018, Russian Athletics Federation received a request from RUSADA to provide the explanation on the fact as soon as possible. The same day RUSADA notified Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation. The matter is being investigated.
